TAMPA, FL - The first of three Florida qualifiers for Neymar Jr’s Five Tournament will take place on March 25 in Tampa. Neymar Jr’s Five is a global five-a-side soccer tournament with a twist. Teams will need to outplay their opponents within 10 minutes to win the game. The special rule –every time one team scores, the other team looses a player. This makes it a very technical as well as tactical game.
DETAILS: Tournament will be held at Cinco Soccer, 5305 E Henry Ave, Tampa, FL. Team check in starts at 8am and play starts shortly after. Various pre-tournament interview opportunities with players and tournament ambassadors upon request.
WHO: A total of up to 48 teams will compete in the Tampa qualifier and the top team from the qualifier will advance to the U.S. event final in Miami later this year.
The qualifying process will uncover national champions, who then will advance to the World finals in Praia Grande, Brazil where Neymar Jr. grew up, started his professional career and recently founded Instituto Projeto Neymar Jr., which offers extracurricular educational and sporting activities to the most socially disadvantaged children the community
