The American Athletic Conference is gearing up for the inaugural Men's Golf Championship at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor, Fla. The three-day event, hosted by The American and USF, will take place this Sunday through Tuesday, April 27-29.

Play on the par-71, 7,125-yard Copperhead Course will begin at 8 a.m. ET with 18 holes each of the three days. An awards presentation will take place following the final round on Tuesday. Admission to the event is free and open to the public, and live scoring can be found through or on the GolfStat mobile applications.

The event features all 10 American teams, two of which are ranked among the nation's top-10, according to the latest GolfStat rankings announced on April 23. UCF is the league's highest-rated team at No. 7 while Houston checks in at No. 9. USF and SMU are ranked No. 30 and No. 31, respectively.
UCF's Greg Eason is currently the nation's ninth-ranked golfer heading into this weekend's championship, while USF's Chase Koepka ranks 17th nationally. Other American golfers in the national top-20 entering this weekend include SMU's Bryson Dechambeau (No. 19). Eason and Dechambeau are semifinalists for the 2014 Ben Hogan Award.
