TAMPA, FL - The Tampa Bay Sports Commission (TBSC) is proud to announce the 20th installment of its long-tenured youth event, ‘Game Day of Champions Soccer’. Scheduled for Saturday, April 19 at the University of South Florida’s (USF) Corbett Soccer Stadium, the event will feature 12 teams from local youth soccer leagues, several of which have won their respective league championships.
Celebrating 20 years, the event started in 1994 and gives local soccer youth the opportunity to compete on a grand stage and spark memories that will last a lifetime. In total, six contests will take place throughout the day with the first match kicking-off at 9:00 a.m.
Formerly held at old Tampa Stadium (1994-1996) as well as Raymond James Stadium (1997-2011), the event transitioned to USF’s men’s and women’s soccer pitch in April 2012.
