NCAA® Women’s Final Four® Fans Will Be Able to Score Social Media ‘Buckets’ Through New Rewards Program and Scavenger Hunt
TAMPA, FL - As part of the excitement surrounding the NCAA Women’s Final Four’s return to Tampa Bay in April, the Tampa Bay Sports Commission, Visit Tampa Bay, USF Athletics and Amalie Arena have teamed up with full-service interactive agency Thuzi to create an all-encompassing social rewards program for the event, called “NCAA Women’s Final Four Bucket List”.

The group is pleased to unveil a groundbreaking social media rewards campaign to incentivize social media users to be active on their social media platforms leading up to and during the 2015 NCAA Women’s Final Four, while also partaking in a “social scavenger hunt” during the event week.

“We’re excited to be able to reward women’s college basketball fans for being active on social media leading up and during the Women’s Final Four,” said Rob Higgins, executive director of the Tampa Bay Sports Commission. “We’re confident that our visitors are going to enjoy their  experience in Tampa Bay and we would love for them to be able to share that with their friends through this unique social activation platform.”

By being engaged on social media outlets Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, users will be rewarded with points by completing various tasks. Users will have the chance to win tangible merchandise, including lapel pins, commemorative basketballs and book bags and more. Experiences are also attainable based off point accumulation, such as access to the “social shoot around” on the game court or access to the “social suite” during the games. One grand prize winner will be drawn from eligible participants to enjoy the 2015 NCAA Women’s Final Four national championship game from courtside seats.

In addition to the social media rewards component, the team is also adding a real time social media response component during the week of the event, which will help visitors and social media users with any questions they may have while in Tampa Bay.
