TAMPA, Fla. - Tampa Bay welcomes four amateur national championships this month in various arenas of sport. The action kicked off the first weekend of April with the USA Hockey Over 30/40 National Championship. Over the course of April, Tampa Bay will also have the opportunity to host the USA Hockey Over 50/60 National Championships, the 2nd Annual JamFest Cheer and Dance Nationals, and the American Cheer Power Tournament of Champions.
The Over 30 and 40 Adult Non-Check National Championships, held April 2-5 featured more than 30 teams from throughout the country. Later this month (April 16-19), the Over 50 and 60 age group comes to town to compete in their Adult Non-Check National Championships. More than 1,400 participants will compete over the two weekends and are projected to generate more than 2,000 room nights. The USA Hockey adult council conducts several adult national championships with multiple divisions. These events are an opportunity for teams to test their skills against other teams of same age and/or skill level from across the country and vie for a national championship trophy. JamFest Nationals will take place April 18-19 at the Expo Hall of the Florida State Fairgrounds. Dance, school-cheer, all-star and stunt teams will face off in competition beginning at 9 AM and lasting until 3:30 PM both days. This marks the second consecutive year that Tampa Bay will host this major national championship. For more information click here
American Cheer Power World Cheerleading Tour will host their Tournament of Champions April 18 at the University of South Florida Sun Dome. Teams will compete from 8 AM-9 PM and will showcase all dance and cheer levels. The tournament is slated to be televised on Sun Sports.
