TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Bay Sports Commission (TBSC) is excited to announce the National Club Baseball Association (NCBA) has committed to a two-year partnership with Tampa for the 2010 and 2011 NCBA Spring Training Showcases.
Once again, Tampa Bay will be the major market host after successful events from 2006 to 2009, with an increase from 10 to 45 teams during that period. In 2010, approximately 60 club baseball and softball teams are expected to attend the Spring Training Showcase at Mike Sansone Park in Plant City.
“As the new Director of Spring Training Operations, I am very excited about the upcoming 2010 and 2011 Spring Training Showcases! My goal is to improve and perfect this event, not only for our teams but for our host community and sponsors as well,” said Savannah Harp, director of spring training operations for CollClubSports.
Tampa Bay Sports Commission’s Sales and Events Manager Jason Aughey added, “we could not feel more privileged to have the National Club Baseball Association in the Tampa Bay community for the next two years. We truly value our dynamic partnership with the NCBA and look forward to working collaboratively with them to make their Spring Training Showcase one of the premier showcases in the country.”
In addition to the exciting competition on the field, many potential sponsors have already shown interest in the two-year agreement. Past sponsors include the Red Rose Inn and Suites, Mainsail Suites, Subway, Circle K, Rock n Sports, Gameworks, Avis and many more.
