TAMPA, Fla. – Florida Half Century Amateur Softball Association is pleased to announce the induction of four of their members, effective June 2, 2012.
The four members were as follow:
1.) Roger Tabor, Cape Coral, FLwhose ring was presented by Wayne Berryhill, the Area 2 Director for the organization. Roger was inducted for his support of senior softball and his sponsorship of high level teams both in Florida Half Century and also on the national senior softball scene.
2.) Bobby Davis, Tampa, FL., whose ring was presented by Mike Pilver, the Past Chairman of the Association. Bobby was inducted for his play and performance both on and off the field to the benefit of Senior Softball and Florida Half Century.
3.) Ed Rose, Melbourne, FL, whose ring was presented by Audie Hollis, Manager / Sponsor of the Hollis Appraisals Softball teams. Ed was inducted based on his involvement on all levels with senior softball and Florida Half Century.
4.) Duane Jones, Tampa, FL, whose ring was also presented by Mike Pilver, has been active for many years as a player, manager, and officer of the association.
Florida Half Century Amateur Softball Association is an organization that has been active in Florida for approximately 27 years promoting Senior Softball all over the state of Florida. A potential member is allowed to register to play on January 1 of the year in which he attains 50 years of age. The Association currently has 189 sanctioned member teams around Florida. FHCASA holds two tournaments per month every month somewhere around the state of Florida. We have divisions for the following age groups, i.e. 50 and over, 60, 65, 70, and 74 and over.
