PITTSBURGH, PA – As part of a two-year agreement, the National Club Baseball Association will once again be partnering with the Tampa Bay Sports Commission to bring the 2013 NCBA Spring Training Showcase to Tampa, FL. The NCBA is excited to have Tampa, FL as the major market host once again, after successful events in each of the past seven years. There are expected to be 60+ collegiate club baseball teams attending the Spring Training Showcase at Mike Sansone Park in Plant City, FL in 2013. Anticipation for the 2013 event is already starting to build among teams, fans, and local businesses. The New Year will be here before we know it and spring break will soon follow.
The 2012 NCBA Spring Training Showcase boasted a huge impact on local businesses with its largest event sponsorship to date. The economic stimulus of this event has seen results across the board in Tampa and the 2013 event is expected to make an even larger impact with the addition of new local business sponsors and a record-breaking number of participating teams.
“With the addition of Eric Curitore as Assistant Director of Spring Training Operations, I am excited about the potential we have to grow the event even larger than in past seasons,” said Savannah Harp, Director of Spring Training Operations for CollClubSports. “We can’t wait to starting signing up teams, sponsors, hotels, and volunteers for the upcoming event!”
“We value the partnership and relationships we have developed with the National Federation of Collegiate Club Sports Leagues over the years,” said Jason Aughey, the Sales and Events Manager with the Tampa Bay Sports Commission. “This club baseball and softball spring training showcase generates significant economic impact throughout the entire Tampa Bay area thanks to a strong influx of collegiate teams. Working together, we will continue to raise the bar and deliver a quality experience for all teams who visit the Tampa Bay area.”
With the recent 2012 showcase raising the bar, the 2013 NCBA Spring Training Showcase is sure to make some headlines and boast an even more successful event. There are already many conversations taking place with potential host hotels and new sponsors for the upcoming showcase. In the past such sponsors have been Mainsail Suites Hotel & Conference Center, Chase Suite Hotel, Homewood Suites, Subway, Circle K, Hooters, Blue Dog Bistro Bar & Grill, O’Brien’s Irish Pub, Champps, Tilted Kilt, GameTime, AVIS and many more.
