DOTHAN, AL – After nine years, the Big Buck Expo, a production of Southern Trophy Hunters (STH), is moving from Lakeland, FL to the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa to accommodate the show’s growth. The hunting and fishing consumer tradeshow will be held July 12-‐14 and is expected to draw more than 15,000 outdoor enthusiasts.
“The move to Tampa is going to be great for the Big Buck Expo. It has allowed us to add a nice fishing section to the show as well as a Pop-‐Up, 3D Archery Tournament and Snake and Reptile Exhibition.” said STH president Jay Everett. Also, “The Big Buck Expo is the largest hunting & outdoor expo in the state. People drive from well over 100 miles to come to the show each year. The added space should help to eliminate crowding and long lines and provide our patrons a better experience.”
Headlining the event is Troy Landry, the elder statesman of the History Channel’s reality show Swamp People. Troy’s popularity has grown since the program began airing with his engaging personality and trademark line of; “’Choot ‘em!”. Along with Troy, the show will feature R.J. & Jay Paul Molinere as well as other personalities to be announced.
2013 marks the tenth anniversary for the Big Buck Expo in Florida. It has been held at The Lakeland Center and grown each year to the point that Everett needed to find a venue. STH also produces a Big Buck Expo in Greensboro, NC that will be held July 26-‐28 at the Greensboro Coliseum.
