TAMPA, Fla. – On Friday, April 5 the Tampa Bay Sports Commission unveiled the ‘King of Tampa Bay Sports’ raffle contest, a unique event that will give Tampa Bay sports fans the opportunity to win tickets to over 200 local events over the course of the next year. These lower-level season tickets will include admission to all five professional franchises regular season home games for one entire season (Buccaneers, Lightning, Rays, Storm and Rowdies), in addition to the 2013 USF Football season, the 2013-14 USF Men’s Basketball season, the 2014 Outback Bowl, the 2014 Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, and the 2013 Beef O’ Brady’s Bowl.
Pepin Distributing Director of Marketing and Tampa Bay Sports Commission Chairman of the Board, Bill Gieseking stated, “As the King of Beers, Budweiser is proud to present the King of Tampa Bay Sports. We feel fortunate to help fulfill one of the wildest dreams of a local sports fan.”
Only 200 total contest entries are available for a contribution of $200 each. Three finalists will be randomly drawn and announced via the sports commission’s YouTube and social media channels on May 16, 2013. The winner will then be drawn from the three finalists at the Commission’s annual signature event, the 3rd Annual Tampa Bay Sneaker Soiree, on May 23, 2013, at T Pepin’s Hospitality Centre.
Continuing the Commission’s community-first efforts, proceeds from the contest will go to benefit local youth sports programming. Tampa Bay Sports Commission Executive Director Rob Higgins was quoted as saying, “We are blessed with the best community sports partners on the planet. This is yet another testament of them stepping up for our local kids.”
