About Game Day of Champions - Football

  • Game Day of Champions is an annual football and soccer event that is organized in partnership with Under Armour, Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation, and Conservation and Visit Tampa Bay. Game Day of Champions, Football, originated in 2002. 
  • The Tampa Bay Sports Commission thanks the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners and Under Armour for making the 2013 Game Day of Champions possible. 
  • Additionally, we would like to thank the Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation, and Conservation Department as well as the volunteers that have helped woith today's event. This event could not be successful without all of your hard work. We look forward to working with you again next year.

Rules & Regulations!

*First two games (9:00/10:30) will be 8 minute quarters; last two games will be 10 minutes quarters.     

Home team / Chain gang (3 People provided by home team) - Please submit these names

  • TSA will provide scoreboard and clock operator.
  • TBSC will provide PA

*9:00 am SICOA / 10:30 am WCOA – 4 officials
*12:00 pm SICOA / 2:00 pm WCOA – 5 officials  

***TEAMS MUST ARRIVE TO THE STADIUM 1.5 HOURS BEFORE THEIR GAME***

  • Check in, pictures (Pirate Ship), locker room, game (someone will be there to escort each team)
  • Warm-ups will be in the tunnel, except for the 9:00 am game, which teams may practice on the sidelines.
  • Locker rooms need to be vacated prior to each game to allow for next team to get in.
  • Teams will use their own ball during their possession.
  • Teams will also need to bring their own cooler; ice and water will be provided on the sidelines.
  • Post Game: Teams need to huddle immediately after the game for plaque presentation.
 Parking – Each Vehicle will be charged $5 to park in Stadium lot

Enter through Gate B off of Himes Avenue and pull into Lot 4 (dirt lot immediately on right)

  • Gate B – Teams check-in and all others go to seats - $5 General Admission Fee
  • Roster deadlines

Final rosters (teams and cheerleaders) will need to be emailed no later than Tuesday, December 3rd! If this information is available to you before this date, we would greatly appreciate it.

Photo Information

  • Packets will be sent to head coaches after Super Bowl games (include enough for cheerleaders)
Field Passes (# of non-players, coaches, misc.)
  • 15 = 1 head coach, 5 assistants, 2 water boys, Team dad/mom, Equipment mgr., and 5 cheerleader passes.
  • Home team will receive 3 additional passes for chain gang.
  • 4 additional field passes per league. Please submit requests (with names by Tuesday, December 3rd)!
Cheerleading Protocol (music, etc.)

10 minute halftime

  • Each team gets 4 minutes
Sports Commission Staff will escort cheerleader representative with music to PA booth. (5 minutes remaining in the 2nd quarter)
