Huddle For Change : Racial Inequities and Physical Health
Join us virtually for part two of a six-part series of community dialogues on systemic racism
TAMPA, FL - In conjunction with the Tampa Bay Super Bowl LV Host Committee, NFL's Inspire Change initiative, and the NFL Foundation, Community Tampa Bay is pleased to announce the second installment of "Huddle For Change" is set to take place on Thursday, April 22, 2021. Huddle for Change is a six-part series bringing community members together to explore solutions for systemic racism experienced in Tampa Bay.
The focus on the upcoming event will spotlight racial inequalities and physical health.
Huddle for Change is a community-wide dialogue between various community stakeholders. The evidence-based programming will draw from recent studies conducted by the Tampa Bay Partnership, including the Tampa Bay Racial Sentiment Survey and Regional Equity Report conducted by Down & St. Germain Research. Community Tampa Bay will partner with local grassroots activists, non-profit organizations, academic institutions, corporations, and business leaders to discuss the data findings, their own lived experiences, and tangible action steps our community can implement to eliminate systemic injustices in the Tampa Bay community.
On January 18, in celebration of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, we kicked off this six-part series and Community Tampa Bay will continue to take a lead role in additional community dialogues toward our vision of ending discrimination.
