Replay Tampa Bay Collection to Benefit Area Needy As Part of 2018 NCAA Track and Field East Preliminary

TAMPA, FL – Participants and spectators at the 2018 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Track and Field East Preliminary, held Thursday through Saturday at the USF Track & Field Stadium, will have the opportunity to impact those in need in the Bay Area through an apparel and sporting goods drive.

USF Athletics and College of Public Health are teaming up with the Tampa Bay Sports Commission and Replay Tampa Bay to host a collection drive at the NCAA East Preliminary, the largest collegiate track and field event to be hosted in Tampa Bay with over 170 teams and 1,700 competitors.

Competing teams and participants are being encouraged to bring new or gently used apparel and/or sporting goods for donation at the track. Spectators attending the meet can also contribute with donations at collection bins located outside the main entrance to the USF Track and Field Stadium.

All donations will benefit Tampa Bay Street Medicine and Metropolitan Ministries and help support the unsheltered population in the Tampa Bay community.

Events are scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. Track and field events run from noon to 10 p.m. daily. A schedule of events, information on the meet and ticket link can be found on the official splash site for the 2018 NCAA East Preliminary.

Three-day "All-Sessions" passes are $35 per person, single session tickets are $15 per person and all children two and under will receive free admission.
