Porter Sherman

Bio

On September 3, 2024, Porter Sherman joined the Tampa Bay Sports Commission (TBSC) as a Sales & Events Intern. He was then brought back to the organization for another year, and on May 18, 2026, he was promoted to Sales and Events Coordinator.
 
As Sales & Events Coordinator, Porter assists in coordinating the commission’s direct sales efforts to attract and execute sports and entertainment events on behalf of the Tampa Bay community. He contributes to developing post-event recaps and room-night analyses for major events, while also working closely with the Event Development Institute (EDI) to support the planning and operations of TBSC-owned events.
 
During his time with the Sports Commission, Porter has played a role in executing several high-profile events, including the 2025 Women’s Final Four, the Florida Preseason Derby, Savannah Bananas in Tampa, and the 2026 NHL Stadium Series.
 
Prior to joining TBSC, Porter served as a Tournament Services Intern for the Valspar Championship, supporting various aspects of tournament operations for the 2024 event and serving as the Tournament Chair for Player Transportation in 2025.
 
Porter is currently a Senior in his last semester at the University of Tampa, pursuing a double major in Sport Management and Finance.
